Lane and his two siblings were born on May 06, 2020 in Pace, FL. A very caring good Samaritan had been feeding momma and when she realized that babies were on the way she made up a cozy box for momma and brought her in to safety. The family stayed with her until the kitties were almost 3 months old. Momma was fully vetted and still hangs out at her house. The kitties were not getting any socialization and were very afraid of everybody except for their caretaker. They were moved to a foster home for better socialization opportunities.

Lane started out as being a “Lyn” and it wasn’t until the spay appointment that we learned that she was a “he”. He is the most skittish of the three babies. When I first got him, he did not want to be touched at all and, although playful and comfortable with his siblings, he sought out a hiding space whenever I got near him. He has since gained a lot of confidence and will now wander the house freely with me, several other cats and 4 dogs. He is not comfortable being picked up yet, but he is tolerating it for longer periods, and he does love to have his head and back scratched. His favorite toys are the ones with balls that he can launch through circular tubes with a swipe of his paw.

He has the most beautiful shiny black fur, with 2 white markings on belly, that is bunny rabbit soft and an exceptionally long tail.

He should do well in a home with other cats since he has been submissive to the resident cats here. He will be OK co-existing with doggie siblings as long as they won’t want to be his friend or play buddy. Lane will likely thrive best in a quiet home where he has less competition and the safety to become more confident. Adopter needs to understand that he is not going to be a love bug immediately, but patience and time will likely reward you with the most handsome and mellow feline partner.

Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, FeLV test, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.
